I am a unique healthcare professional with an exceptional combination of clinical and business office experience and superior teaching skills supporting my move to electronic medical records 6 years ago. I earned a BS in Healthcare Administration in 2006. Also, as a Nationally Registered - Certified Medical Assistant, I possess expertise regarding the specific processes and workflows of a medical facility.
With over 16 years' of healthcare experience and working as a Clinical Systems Implementation Analyst and Senior Consultant, I am able to provide comprehensive services during the implementation process including the roll out, post-implementation support and application management of the electronic medical records system.
A few of my accomplishments with present and previous employers include:
- Completed 5-Step GE Healthcare Centricity EMR Certification with 98.6% approval rating on 3 clinic practicum
- Managed 7 clients, both company direct and subcontracted, during the implementation process
- Workflow assessment for a correctional facility currently using GE's Centricity Electronic Medical Record. Assessed several areas within the facility and made recommendations for form changes, workflow processes, time management improvements, custom reports and use of additional features within GE's Centricity EMR such as photos, faxing and scanning.
- Initiated a charge entry audit that resulted in identifying $900,000 in missed billable charges. Results: physicians were more conscience about capturing charges in the electronic medical record, concluding purchase of the electronic medical record was a solid investment.
- Created and edited over 200+ encounter forms using various editing programs
- Enterprise implementation of a large Pediatric group with over 40 Providers and 13 medical office locations
- Instructed and graduated 118 students enrolled in the Medical Assistant program at a local college in an adult classroom and laboratory setting
- Put in place key committees with key decision makers allowing for the client to continue roll-outs with approved timeline after consultant’s project completion.
- Identified clients needs for additional resources / reorganization of staff.
- Trained and Implemented 36 Providers / 7 sites, Super Users and newly developed Training Team using Train-the-Trainer Methodology
- Involvement in the installation of E-Script Messenger and Dragon Naturally Speaking
- Initiated and maintained and Issues and Enhancement Log
- Assisted client with Post Go-Live Implementation Meetings with clinics Physician Champion, Site Supervisor, Medical Director and Regional Practice Administrator to determine success of the implementation.
- Content changes, clinical lists and custom lists were updates based on User feedback.
- Appointed member of client's EMR Committee
